Thankful Thursday - YUMMommy

Thankful Thursday

Summer is coming to a close and school will soon be in for many of us.  And as I take time to reflect on my summer, I have to admit that it has been a good one.  Therefore, this Thursday I am thankful for:

  • Having had an amazing summer and for being able to help touch the lives some underprivileged youth in the process;
  • Reclaiming my life, my dreams and my focus.  I feel like each day I am getting closer to living the vision I've always pictured for my life;
  • Finally, recommitting to the love of my life and being willing to take that next step in our relationship;
  • Being a better communicator.  I don't shut down nearly as much as I used to.  This blog has helped me to open up so much;
  • Having such an awesome family.  We don't always see eye to eye or agree with each others' lifestyles but at the end of the day we still have each others' backs!
Hopefully, you all have something to be thankful for today even if it's just your life, health and strength.  Be blessed beyond belief!!

  1. So glad you've had a good summer! I can not not believe August is already here. Where did the summer go? How were you able to help underprivileged youth? Love that!

  2. @Mommy Glow-I know the summer went by so fast it seems. Anyways, I volunteered at a local non-profit and helped out with their summer reading program in which they work young kids pre-k to 8th grade on developing a passion for books and learning the basics of phonics, setting, and all that other fun stuff. It was a blast.

  3. WOW! This list is great! I personally can relate to the 2nd and 4th points. It's always a great feeling when you reach a new level of self-awareness and when you learn to express yourself more effectively.

    Cheers to you!

  4. Sounds like things you did some pretty amazing things. It is good when you are able to look back and enjoy the things that are going right instead of focusing on the bad things.

  5. @SweetAl-I've been struggling to reach this new level of self-awareness for a while now. Glad that I've finally arrived.

    @K. Rock- I've learned that focusing on the negatives of your life only stops you from reaching the positives and keeps you from achieving the happiness you've always wanted.
