Thankful Thursday

Remember, a while back I wrote about how we were trying to find a church up here to go instead of me driving two hours both ways to go to church in my hometown?  Well, I'm thankful to say that I have found the church for us!!  It's been a long time coming (over a year but who's counting).  God and spirituality are very important to me.  Therefore, it was really bothering me about not having found a church here to go to.

Not to mention, one of the goals on my vision board was to strengthen my relationship with God.  So, I'm totally looking to getting more involved in the church.  Plus, now is the time I need to start making sure Moo and JJ have a great foundation on which they can build a relationship with God.  And this church seems to have some really great activities for children.

They also have some great activities and opportunities for couples.  And working on my marriage was another goal on my vision board.  I'm going to keep it one hundred and say that right now things aren't nearly as good as I would like them be.  A lot of that is stress due to this and that.  I think attending some of these marriage building sessions can really help us learn how to not let outside things stress our marriage.

I'm also thankful that both of JJ's top front teeth are almost fully out.  We've been having a time with this whole teething situation.  I think at this point we're both ready for a break from it.  We're on Walk Watch.  He's been itching to get down and do his own thing.  So, hopefully he'll be walking unassisted in no time.

I also did another two interviews this past week about YUMMommy and being a blogger.  So, I'll be sharing more about those over the summer.  I'm just incredibly thankful for everything positive that has been going on.  And if you picked up a copy of the book yesterday, I'm thankful for that as well.  If not be sure to get it or at least spread the work about it!

I'm also thankful that today I'm featured over at Life of TOI as part of her She Rocks series!! Go check out my guest post here.

  1. Yay, much to be thankful for this week. I think it's great you realize the important of strengthening your relationship with your husband rather than throw the towel in. And as always happy to hear about you and your blog spreading it's wings! I think I owe you an email!

  2. I checked out your guest post at TOI's and I loved it. You rock! I'm glad you found a church. I know that's hard to do because we are still looking. Looks like you found a good one with couples and kids ministries.

  3. It's awesome that you were able to find a church! I think once you are apart of a good one, it's really hard to find another comparable to it. I haven't found one since I moved back in 2006 SMH.

Were you featured in that book? I'll have to go check it out.

  4. So glad you found a church. We are members at a church 2 minutes from our house but I stopped going. It is not a good fit for me anymore. I am going to go check out your guest post now. Take care :)

    1. I totally don't agree with going to church just to be going. You need to be getting something from it. It has to be a great fit.

  6. Finding a church home is such a daunting task. I am no longer feeling our church but the process of finding a new one has us stuck but it has to be done. I still can't believe he is getting so big.

I am just thankful for joy and peace today. I haven't always had those things and it has been in abundance the past few days. I'm really thankful for that.

    1. Nothing like a little joy and peace, especially peace! Yes, I was dreading finding a new church once we moved back because it can really be a draining and daunting task but I'm glad I did. Our new church is so much more awesome and has so many more things to do.
